THE OWNERS ARE SUPER FRIENDLY!

Most vintage stores around here are either hit or miss, but Pac-Rat seems to be consistently good. Compared to other vintage stores, Pac-Rat is more selective about the items that they sell. The first time I visited that store, I bought some hard to find 1:18 scale models of classic cars. The second time I visited, I bought a leopard print snowboard. I'm not sure if it performs well, but it does make for some good wall art. The last time I visited, I got some really cool long sleeve vintage shirts.

If you wander around this store long enough, you will probably end up buying something that you didn't know you needed. The owners are super friendly and very knowledgable. Definitely pay a visit to this store if you are around the area!

STORE IS WELL ORGANIZED!

This place is a great alternative to the nasty La Tienda down the street. While it's a small shop, the racks are stocked with vintage and newer pieces in various sizes for both men and women.

The store is clean and the clothes are organized by style (shirts, skirts, pants, etc.). The best part of the place is the customer service. When I went in the owner (at least I think she was the owner) let me know that she would be very willing to work with the prices. I walked out of there with a super cute, vintage, plaid Liz Claiborn dress for only $10...it was marked at $13 or $14. It's only a few bucks, but her cheerful attitude will definitely bring me back.

I also noticed some used surfboards, if you're into that.

This place is definitely worth a look if you're in the area, but it's a tad to small to be destination that sends you out of your way.

LOTS OF WACKY, CRAZY, COOL, AMAZING FINDS!

Great place! Lots of wacky, crazy, cool, amazing finds. It's like a literal treasure hunt there. I found a beautiful dress to wear to a wedding (not a wedding dress, of course) and a cute piggy bank from Germany. The prices are a little high, but of course EVERYTHING is 50% off all the time. haha

You can wheel and deal; the owners are cool & love to talk. Always something interesting in there.

Parking is scarce; it's in the back or if you're lucky you can park on the street.

NICE SELECTION OF SURFBOARDS, FAIR PRICED!

Saw an ad for a surfboard on CL. Drove down from Long Beach to check it out. Was expecting a surf shop but it ended up being a little boutique type shop. Walked in, super friendly and very helpful. Nice little selection of boards, fair priced. If your in the area I highly recommend checking them out and giving them some business. Cool people, cool little shop I know ill be stopping by anytime I'm down that way.

GREAT BARGAINS!

Cute little place in San Clemente. Really friendly people and great bargains. It's in a cute little Old City Plaza. The jail used to be in the plaza according to the owner. I used to live in San Clemente so it's always nice to visit my old "hood". Not too clausto like some thrift or second hand stores. Found an outdoor table for $5.00. What a bargain!

EVERYTHING'S ALWAYS ON SALE!

We love the Pac Rat! She has a new location, which is a little harder to find, but well worth checking out. The place is clean and easy to search through. The owner is always there, and as she says "everything's always on sale" so usually you can come out with some good stuff without spending too much. My best friend and I have found a couple items there (one of his favorite ties!) and we will definitely be back!

DEFINATELY A PLACE TO HIT!

Awesome place to find a broad range of finds...I picked up an excel 3/2 wetsuit for $15. They've got a great selection of mens and womens(from what I can tell) clothers, surfboards, records and bags. Not huge, but they have super friendly employees that are usually willing to cut you a deal. They advertise some of their items on craigslist so keep an eye out for that as well. Def a place to hit if your thrifstorin in SC!

Love the Pac-Rat! Tucked away in a delightful San Clemente mall, this eclectic store is a fun shop. Owner Lisa is super friendly! Everything from vintage clothes, accessories, collectibles and even pre owned surf boards are on offer. Worth a stop when in San Clemente.

FANTASTIC STORE!

Fantastic Store.  Just opened in the new location.  I like the unique one of a kind products, beach stuff, and interior design stuff you can find.  The people that run the store are just so nice.  Love the Old Historic San Clemente Square or Old City Plaza place they are now in.  It is a nice looking store.  I got a cool beach cruiser there for under 100, it regularly would sell for 300.  I will be going back for designer decor for the house - you know that wierd stuff that makes the house a home.  The Coca Cola collections and Elvis, Pez and Marlyn Monroe collections are very cool too.

FUN AND FUNKY!

Very fun and funky. They moved to Old City and lost a lot of space but it's a great place to visit. Always a unique conversation piece on hand to buy. Parking is limited but you can always park in the lot across the street.
