Dear Alya, We want to write and express our appreciation. Mom refused to come back to New York when she began to decline. “I wouldn’t leave an earthly paradise because you never know what is going to happen”, she said. It was really stressing myself and my siblings out. When my sister found you through your website I was frankly skeptical about choosing home health care on line, but you spent hours on the phone with each of us and I was impressed. Mom’s a real character isn’t she ? Stubborn, inflexible, set in her ways, but also amusing and creative. I don’t know how you do it, but you have gotten her to make changes that we never could. She always said, “ Medication like a yellow light was a suggestion”. When you sent photos of an uncluttered house I couldn’t believe it. Mom is a confirmed “gatherer of treasures” and there she sat, smiling in an organized living room. She says that she is pleased with her caregivers, and that is saying something. Well, the experience has been tremendous and has lifted an extreme burden off of myself and my siblings who wish to support our aging mother in a way that allows her to be as independent as she can be.
